BJP to discuss Lok Sabha poll preparation at Kausani

A meeting of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) office bearers and district presidents would be held on September 15 at Kausani in Bageshwar district. The State BJP media In-charge, Devendra Bhasin said on Monday that the party’s national level General Secretary (Organisation) Shiv Prakash and the State party in-charge Shaym Jaju would be present at the meeting. He said that the review of the 'booth contact campaign' undertaken by the Vistaraks of 'Shakti Kendras' would be done during the meeting. Besides, the meeting would also focus on the preparations for the Lok Sabha elections, Bhasin said.

The State General Secretary (Organisation) Sanjay Kumar has directed all office bearers, the district presidents, the district in-charges, Lok Sabha in-charges and Vitarakas to be present at the meeting.

BJP insiders say that the meeting would firm up strategy to ensure the repeat of the party’s sweep during the 2014 election. “We are not complacent in the least. This is, of course, a high stake election, but we taken every election equally seriously. Once the strategy is firmed up the party activists down to the booth level would plunge into the election mode,” he said.
