Rly engineer’s house burgled of `5 L valuables

House of a Junior Engineer of Railways at Harsiddhi Complex under Bajaria police station was targeted by miscreants and valuables worth       Rs  5 lakh were burgled on Sunday.

Police said that the victim Lokesh Kumar Tripathi along with his family had gone to Ujjain where he was informed that the door of his house were open and on the receipt of the information he returned in the evening and found the valuables were burgled.

A complaint was lodged by the victim with the Bajaria police and in his complaint, he stated that he along with his family had gone to Ujjain and in the morning on Sunday he received information regarding burglary and returned in the evening. He found cash and gold and silver jewelry were burgled.

In the burglary, Rs 30,000 in cash, 135 gm of gold and 1.25 kg of silver ornaments were burgled.

Meanwhile valuables worth Rs 90,000 were burgled from shanty near IIFM premises under Kamla Nagar police station area on Sunday.

The victim Manohar Lal Prajapati had gone to Tikamgarh on Saturday and when he returned on Sunday he found that the door was open and on entering the valuables were found burgled.

A gold chain, one pair gold ear rings, one pair silver anklet and Rs 40000 cash were burgled. The total loss in the burglary was around Rs 90,000.

The police have registered a case under section 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation.

Police said that the CCTV footage of the nearby installed cameras would be searched in the further investigation. The neighbours were not aware of the burglary.

Based on the details in the complaint and information provided by the victim, the police have started investigation.
