Quota agitation leader Hardik Patel has come back with a bang after a brief hibernation. This time, his charter of demands has expanded. Besides his usual electioneering for Patidar reservations, he has voiced concerns for farmers and demanded loan-waiver. this is irresponsible but not, unfortunately, entirely unexpected that young leaders like him have limited understanding of what India needs; not temporary solutions and stale ideas like quotas and loan-waivers but long-term structural reforms.

Disappointing comeback
