PATNA: The JD(U) on Tuesday accused the leader of opposition in the state assembly
Tejashwi Prasad Yadav of crossing the “line of public morality” in retweeting the
viral video regarding the molestation of a girl in Saharsa town a month ago and also alleged that his concern for women was only a sham.
Addressing a press conference here, state JD(U) spokespersons Sanjay Kumar Singh, Neeraj Kumar, Ajay Alok, Rajiv Ranjan Prasad, Arvind Nishad and Shweta Biswas also said the accused in all such related incidents like at Gaya,
Jehanabad, Bihiya (Bhojpur) were the “RJD supporters”.
They also maintained that a boy had been arrested in connection with the Saharsa viral video and the police would also try to find out during investigation who had been instigated the accused to make the video viral.
“Our charge is that Tejashwi himself had instigated them to make the video viral as it went viral a month after the incident of molestation,” they maintained, adding that the RJD leader had retweeted it at 11.15pm on Monday night.
They also sought the resignation of Tejashwi from the post of the leader of opposition for it and also for the reason that he was unable to rein in his party supporters from indulging in such morally reprehensible acts.
In reply to the filing of an FIR against JD(U) MLA from Vaishali district for being a part of conspiracy behind the recent murder of a Rashtriya Lok Samata Party functionary there, Neeraj said. “Only the FIR had been lodged. He had not yet been chargesheeted in the case.” He said the administration has been taking action in all the incidents, including against the police personnel, even in the case of parading of a woman naked at Bihiya in Bhojpur district.
