Former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi is also known as ‘Boom Boom Afridi’ because of his great bowling and bating skills. In fact, Afridi in his 398 ODIs scored 351 sixes, 73 sixes in 99 T20Is and In 27 Test matches he hit 52 sixes.
While he was interacting with fans on Twitter, Afridi revealed that the nickname ‘Boom Boom’ was given to him by Indian coach Ravi Shastri. Shastri was a known commentator before he became Indian cricket team coach.

But Shastri’s job as a coach has seen him stay away from the commentary box. The Indian team is currently preparing for the fourth Test against England in Southampton. While India lost two Tests, they hit back in the third game at Trent Bridge which they won by 203 runs. The fourth Test starts on Thursday and Virat Kohli will look to continue the form that has seen him score two centuries in the series so far.
