A 13-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and gang-raped by three men in a moving car when the victim had gone to relieve herself in Greater Noida’s Dankaur on Monday morning, the police said. Two of the accused have been arrested in connection with the case, they said.
Family lodges complaint
The victim’s family lodged a complaint with the police around 12 p.m. upon which an FIR was registered against three persons.
“The girl was walking into the farms to relieve herself around 7 a.m., when a car approached her. Three men pulled her inside the car. They then drove off to an isolated road. They took turns to rape the girl in the moving car and dumped her at a secluded place near the roadside in Dankaur. The girl reached home and narrated her ordeal to her family” read the complaint.
“After the complaint was received, an FIR was registered under Sections 363 [kidnapping], 376 D [gang rape] of the Indian Penal Code and Section 5/6 of the Protection of Child from Sexual Offence Act. An investigation was launched. The victim was then taken to a district hospital where the doctors confirmed the sexual assault” said Ashish Shrivastava, Superintendent of Police (Rural), Gautam Buddh Nagar.
Later in the evening, two of the three accused were arrested.
Car seized
“Acting on a tip-off and based on the details shared by the victim’s family members, the two were arrested from Dankaur. The accused been identified as Ajay alias Kaalu and Surendra alias Kaalu, both hailing from Dankaur. We have also seized the car used in the crime. Efforts are being made to nab the third accused in the case,” Mr. Shrivastava also said
