Unidentified persons who came on a bike on Sunday robbed a gold thaali of the wife of a retired DIG, in Indira Nagar.
The police said, S.G.K. Pillai who served in Intelligence Bureau was a resident of the TNHB flats in Indira Nagar. He and his family members went to a nearby restaurant for dinner.
On their return, while they were walking on Fourth Main Road, two persons who came on a bike snatched the five-sovereign gold thaali of his wife Ponnal.
The robbers sped away from the spot immediately. Based on a complaint, the Shastri Nagar police have registered a case and are investigating.
