3 drown in failed attempt to cross raging nala

Three members of the family drowned to deaths when the car they were travelling in was carried away in a seasonal nala they were trying to cross in the vehicle. According to details confirmed, Umesh Dhyani, his wife Kusum Dhyani, their son Amit Dhyani and relative Ajay Lakheda were travelling in an Alto car from Baijro in Almora to Ramnagar. While they were attempting to cross the seasonal nala between Marchula and Mohaan in the car, the vehicle was carried away by the strong current. Those nearby who saw the incident informed the authorities after which the fire brigade, police and rescue team reached the site.

After much effort the rescue team managed to rescue Kusum Dhyani was was stuck in the car in an injured State. After about two hours of effort, the team was able to retrieve the bodies of the three other persons travelling in the car.

The officials informed that the injured woman was being sent to Ramnagar joint hospital while the bodies were also being sent to Ramnagar for post mortem examination.
