Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, Muskan Kirar, the archer of Madhya Pradesh Archery Academy, Jabalpur while displaying her best performance in the Women Compound Team event held during the Asian Games in Jakarta succeeded to clinch berth for the country in the final of Archery competition. The final will be held on August 28.
In the semi final of the archery event held between India and Chinese Taipei, India won by scoring 225 points in the competition.
Earlier to this, the Indian team scored 229 points and won the quarter final match against Indonesia.The Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Smt. Yashodhara Raje Scindia has congratulated and extended greetings to Muskan Kirar for her feat and lauded her for bringing laurels to the state.
The Director Sports and Youth Welfare Dr. S.L. Thousen has also praised her performance in the Asian Games.It is to be highlighted that Muskan Kirar, who had won Gold and Bronze medals for the country in the Asia Cup held in Thailand is a talented archer of the academy and has also won silver medal in the World Cup Stage-2 held in Turkey.
Muskan Kirar is participating in archery competitions since 2016. She became champion by winning gold medal in 37th Sub-Junior National Archery Competition held in Bhubaneswar.
She also represented Indian team in 20th Asian Championship held in Dhaka and Asia Cup held in Taipei. Muskan is receiving training under the guidance of the Chief Trainer and Technical Advisor Richpal Singh Salaria of Madhya Pradesh State Archery Academy at Jabalpur.
