NIT razes five illegal religious structures

Nagpur: The Nagpur Improvement Trust (NIT) has resumed the drive to demolish illegal religious structures. The civic agency demolished five illegal religious structures on Monday and Tuesday.
As per orders of the Nagpur bench of Bombay high court, the NIT team under the guidance of chairman and superintending engineer demolished three illegal religious structures — Radhakrishna temple at Panchvati Nagar, a masjid at Indiramata Nagar, Binaki slum and Hanuman temple at Anand Nagar, Binaki, on Monday, a temple in Sanjay Gandhi Nagar on Ring Road and Hanuman temple at Kukde Layout on Tuesday.

The NIT team carried out the demolition drive in association with the police department. The team included Rajesh Meghrajni, Anil Rathod, Sudhir Rathod, Manohar Patil, Sanjay Chimukrkar, Avinash Badge, Mahesh Chaudhary, Vinod Kulge etc.
