PepsiCo India on Tuesday said that its senior Vice-President (beverage category), Vipul Prakash has quit the company and has decided to pursue an entrepreneurial opportunity.
The snacks and beverage major also said that Vishal Kaul will succeed Prakash, who quit after a 20-year stint with PepsiCo.
“We are pleased to announce that another PepsiCo stalwart, Vishal Kaul, who recently re-joined the India team, will take over the leadership of the beverage category, in addition to leading the transformation agenda for India with immediate effect,” the company added.
In a statement, Ahmed ElSheikh — Chairman & CEO, PepsiCo India said, “PepsiCo India has built a very strong talent pipeline by giving people a mix of different critical experiences in India and internationally. We are pleased to have Vishal Kaul taking on the role of Vice -President for the beverage ategory.”
“Prior to his last role outside the company, Vishal had a long stint with PepsiCo in leadership roles across various geographies. He will take the baton from Vipul Prakash, who has taken an entrepreneurial opportunity outside PepsiCo after a successful stint of 20 years with the Company,” he added.
Prakash joined PepsiCo in 1998 in India, and since then has held various positions in the company both in India and abroad.
