Samsung Galaxy J4 smartphone gets a price cut in India

NEW DELHI: South Korean consumer tech giant Samsung has slashed the price of its recently launched budget smartphone -- Galaxy J4. The smartphone was launched in June this year at Rs 11,990 and has now received a price drop of Rs 1,000. After the price cut customers can purchase the handset for Rs 10,990.
The smartphone was launched by the company under the Make for India initiative and offers features like app pair, advanced memory management, adaptive Wi-Fi and Samsung Mall.
In terms of specifications, the Samsung Galaxy J4 comes with a 5.5-inch HD display with 720x1280 pixel resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by company's own Exynos 7570 processor and runs Android 8.0 Oreo operating system.
The device offers 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB by adding a microSD card. The smartphone sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front snapper with LED flash for selfies.
The Samsung Galaxy J4 is backed by a 3000 mAh battery and claims to offer 20 hours of battery backup on single charge. On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB Type C.
Last week Samsung launched its mid-segment smartphone Galaxy A8 Star in India. Priced at Rs 34,999 the smartphone is exclusively available on Amazon. The device comes with a 6.3-inch FHD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The display is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass on top.
The smartphone runs Android 8.0 Oreo operating system and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor. The device offers 6GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage which can be expanded further by adding a microSD card.
