The BJP State Mahila Morcha will hold a mass convention here for two days on August 30 and 31, informed Morcha president Pravati Parida on Monday.

Addressing a Press meet, Parida said Morcha national president Vijaya Rahatkar would grace the convention as chief guest.

“We will make people know about success of women welfare schemes of the Narendra Modi Government and anti-women attitude of the State Government,” said Parida.

Issues like failure in women security, selling of liquor in rural areas for which youths are getting wayward, exclusion of four lakh SHGs from Central schemes, debarring pregnant women from Government supports, rising of crimes against women  etc would be discussed in detail, she said.

She informed that 8,556 activists had participated in the Mahila Suraksha Yatra held by the Morcha recently. While various problems faced by women were considered during this yatra, aspects of women security would be emphasised and a special strategy would be adopted against the anti-women State Government during the convention, Parida said.
