However, images the Realme 2 were accidentally made live on the company’s website and they suggest that the device might come with a fingerprint sensor on the rear. The authentication mechanism was missing from its predecessor, the Realme 1. Realme 2 is also tipped to feature the same faceted design that was used on its predecessor and the OPPO F7 Diamond Black edition. The images revealed black and blue colour variants of the device. As mentioned earlier, not much is known about the smartphone’s hardware. Rumours suggest that it could offer configuration similar to the Oppo F7 and come equipped with a 6.23-inch Full HD+ display. It might be powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 SoC and is tipped to feature a 16MP + 2MP camera setup on the rear.

Last month, former VP of Oppo and Head of Oppo India, Sky Li, had announced his resignation from the company as he took up the position of Global CEO at Realme. Li said that the Realme brand will focus on providing youth-oriented mobile phones that offer strong performance and stylish designs. Additionally, the company said that it’s very young in terms of team composition as the average age of team members is not more than 30 years.
