HYDERABAD: T Srinivasa Rao, in-charge judge for the II Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge court, Nampally, who is expected to give his verdict in the
Lumbini Park-Gokul Chat blast case on Monday, has the credit of giving judgments in various sensational cases, including in the Dilsukhnagar twin blast case in which five Indian Mujahideen (IM) convicts were awarded death penalty.
Justice Srinivasa Rao in the past two years also gave judgments in Task Force building bomb blast case in which all the nine arrested accused were acquitted and in the case of a murderous attack on AIMIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi, in which four persons were convicted.
A few months ago, Justice Srinivasa Rao was appointed as the judge for Special Court for
National Investigation Agency (NIA) cases.
He was made the in-charge judge for Lumbini Park-Gokul Chat twin blast case after judge S Radhakrishna Murthy was arrested by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB). While Justice Murthy conducted most of the trial, after Justice Srinivasa Rao was given the task of the 2007 twin blast, he completed the remaining court proceedings in a court at
Cherlapally jail and pronounced during the previous hearing that he would give his verdict on August 27.
