Patient critical after Bruce Highway crash at Maryborough

A patient was treated for critical injuries after a truck and vehicle crash on the Bruce Highway at Maryborough, about three hours north of Brisbane.

The crash happened about 6.30am near the Henry Palmer Bridge.

Paramedics transported one male patient to Maryborough Hospital with shoulder injuries.

Another patient treated for critical injuries was not transported from the scene, an ambulance spokeswoman said.

Queensland Police asked motorists to avoid the area or delay travel.

Diversions were established through Maryborough.
