North Korea to host Asian youth weightlifting championships

The 2019 Asian Youth and Junior Championships will be held in the North Korean capital Pyongyang, a signal that the secretive country may be coming in from the sporting cold.

North Korean administrators have been hoping the country would be able to host international events after combining with in several at this year's Winter Olympics and Asian Games, and also marching under one flag at the Games' opening ceremonies.
