It is learnt that at least three persons have already been arrested.
Video clips of the incident have also started circulating. GK had reached Yuba City gurudwara with local leaders of Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) and they were still in the parking area when he was confronted by over two dozen persons and after a heated exchange of a few moments the group assaulted him and he fell down. “Arm of Puneet Singh Chandok who was accompanying me has fractured and he has been hospitalized,” he said.
He later posted a video message after paying obeisance at the gurudwara saying that 25-30 persons came and attacked him. “I did not retaliate as I did not want to violate the maryada of the gurudwara. They attacked me with brutality but that can’t move me from what I stand for. Earlier I was attacked in New York and in Delhi I was attacked with swords. Today, they tried to kill me h but I survived with God’s grace. They violated maryada of Gurudwaraa and then ran away,” he said.
After a few persons had almost attacked him in New York in the night of August 21 and he had said that he was not afraid of them and continued his activities there of meeting people and visiting places.
