Mona Sen appointed chairman of CSHSWB

Government of Chhattisgarh has nominated Mona Sen as chairman of Chhattisgarh State Hair Stylist Welfare Board. Social Welfare department has issued the order to this effect.

Mona Sen, resident of capital city Raipur is known as singer and dancer in Chhattisgarhi films. She has been conferred State Government award ‘Minimata Samman’. Additional to it she has received ‘Kaushalya Mata Samman’ and ‘Ahilya Samman’. She has been linked to the stage since childhood. Her father is her ‘Guru’ for music and under his patronage had taken to theatre and art.

During her school education in class 8th, she was awarded for dance by the then State Governor.

This gave her motivation to continue. For last 20 years, she has been performing Chhattisgarhi programmes. She had also presented her programmes at Bengaluru, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh among other States.
