BJP men tonsure head for Vajpayee

Senior BJP leader and former Minister Samir Dey along with nearly two dozen BJP workers on Saturday performed the “Dashaha Karma”, the last ritual of late former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

They gathered at the Mahanadi bank near Chahata Ghat here in the morning; and after tonsuring their heads, performed “Tila Tarpana”, a mark of reverence to the departed soul by offering linseed in the river waters.

A condolence meeting was held at the river bank with BJP members, including those of the BJP Mahila Morcha, participating in it and paying rich tributes to Vajpayee.
