4 men attack contractor with swords

GREATER NOIDA: A 30-year-old building contractor was attacked by four unknown persons armed with swords at his office in Kasna area of Greater Noida on Saturday night. The contractor has been identified as Vinod Kumar, a resident of Surajpur area.

Around 8.30pm, Kumar was in his office at Site Five in Kasna along with two other employees and an office boy when four persons, armed with swords and sticks, barged into his office. The goons first attacked the office boy when he tried to stop them and later went on to attack Kumar. Kumar received deep wounds on his body and in hands.

He was rushed to Kailash Hospital from where he was shifted to Jaypee Hospital in Sector 135 in Noida. His brother Ajit told TOI that doctors have suggested surgery as he had received serious injuries. “The matter is recorded in the CCTV cameras installed in the office. We have filed a complaint against the four persons,” added Ajit.

Dharmender Sharma, SHO, Greater Noida police station said the victim has denied knowing the persons who attacked him on Saturday. An FIR against four unknown persons have been filed under the Section 307(attempt to murder) of the IPC. “We are tracing the accused with the help of footage from CCTV cameras installed in the office,” added Sharma.
