Robert Downey Jr may have unwittingly given away a spoiler about the upcoming Avengers 4.

Marvel fans are so polished after months of sleuthing for spoilers and plot points, they could very well apply for a position at the FBI. A Twitter user has found a big spoiler lurking in the background of an old interview of Robert Downey Jr, released in May with Avengers Infinity War.

In the video, a special featurette in which Robert talks about the movie, the actor is seen with his blonde hair and grey beard. We know that is his look from the upcoming Avengers 4 after pictures from the set were leaked online last year.

However, the more important thing to notice here is the background and how it hints at the possible meeting of two important characters of the film. “Just letting you guys know that Tony meeting Shuri and going to Wakanda is basically confirmed from this photo. It’s his A4 look with the blonde hair and gray beard. Also the background is the same as Shuris in Infinity War,” @SpideySensesYou posted to his 293 followers.

And he is right. The walls behind Downey are indeed from Shuri’s lab where she was trying to separate the Mind Stone from Vision’s head in Avengers Infinity War. Check it out:

Could this mean that Tony and Shuri, the two brightest minds on the planet, will indeed join forces to defeat Thanos and bring back our favourite heroes to life? Sure looks like it.

However, there is always that one guy who is all about raining on everyone’s parade. “Or...it’s just a set interview with that set being the chosen place? ¯\_(-_-)_/¯ At best, all it confirms is that Shuri’s hangout has something to do with A4,” wrote @SirDarthUno. He does have a point.

The Avengers will next be seen in Avengers 4, due out in May 2019 and touted to be a ‘significant conclusion’ to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we know it.
