PUNE: Students who wish to appear for
class X and XII board examinations externally can register their names between Sunday, August 26 till Monday, September 10. The students will be allotted the nearest school or junior college as per their accessibility and this school/college will remain the centre where practical/submissions pertaining to internal marking for board exam, will be held for the student.
The students, who are unable to give the board examination via regular school or college have the facility to appear for both class X and XII board as external students by filling up
form number 17. The students who wish to appear for the board examinations to be conducted in February-March 2019 need to register their names online. To appear for
class X board exam, the student needs to register their name at http://form17.mh-ssc.ac.in while to appear for class XII board exam, the student needs to register at http://form17.mh-hsc.ac.in
Between August 27 and September 11, the student after registering his name and filling the online form, must submit the application along with required fee, documents etc at the centre mentioned on the application form. The centres must submit all the documents relating to the students by Saturday, September 15.
“The entire process for registration is online. We will not be accepting any forms otherwise. To make it easier for students, we have given the option of the guidelines in both Marathi and English,” said A B Bhosale secretary of
Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
The students must have with them, a scanned copy of school leaving certificate, Adhaar card, passport size photograph while filling up the registration form online. The student has to compulsorily give his or her mobile number and email id for further communication. After submitting the form, the student will get the application on his or her registered mail id. The student need to take two print outs of the application form, fee challan, and undertaking to the centre specified on his application form.
The student appearing for class X board needs to pay Rs 1000 as registration fee and Rs 100 as processing fee. A student appearing for class XII board exam needs to pay Rs 500 as registration fee and Rs 100 as processing fee.
The students while registering online will fill up their addresses and the medium of instructions. The student will then see a scroll down option for selecting a centre which can be a school or junior college. The student should select this keeping in mind that the centre will remain his point of contact for all future purposes.
While submitting the documents and the fee, the student should get one copy signed and stamped from the respective centre. Students belonging to physically disabled category need to attach a copy of the certificate stating their percentage of disability from an authorized hospital along with the application form. The centres have been given information booklet for the ease of private students that can be collected from them. Once the applications have been accepted, the students need to fill up the examination forms separately when the board declares the schedule.
