Declamation contest held on ‘Air Quality and Our Future’

Regional Museum of Natural History, Bhopal organised a declamation contest for the students of class 9 to 12 on Friday on the theme ‘Air Quality and Our Future’.

As many as 21 students from nine schools- Anand Vihar School, MSB School, Navnidha Hassomal Kakhani School, Delhi Public School, Neelbad, Bal Bharti School, Sagar Public School, MGM School, NRI School, Govt Naveen School, Bhopal participated in the programme.  In-charge of the museum and Scientist-B Manoj Kumar Sharma welcomed jury members, students and teachers.

Nimisha Pathak from Delhi Public School, Needbad, Bhopal won the first prize. Similarly Anushka Shrivastava from Sagar Public School and Manish Khanal from Anand Vihar School got the second and third prizes respectively.

Ananya Sharma from Sagar Public School, Ramsha Khan from Anand Vihar School, Nandini Thakur from Bal Bharti School, Bhoomi Singh from MGM School bagged the encouragement prizes. Chief Scientific Officer Sadhana Tiwari from EPCO, Scientist-C Vishwa Bandhu Meen from Regional Office of Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Bhopal and  Mohd Khalique from Bhopal Birds were the Jury Members of the competition.

Sadhna Tiwari detailed about quality of air and the causes of air pollution and how to clean the air for future generation.

Sushil Kumar Chourey, Stenographer (Hindi) of the museum was the coordinator of the programme.
