Onam 2018: Malayali’s celebrate this year's Onam by pitching in for Kerala flood relief

With the recent floods that have ravaged the state of Kerala, Malayali families of Nagpur have chosen to help the victims this year on the occasion of Onam. All celebrations that were scheduled in light of the 10-day harvest festival have been stopped. Instead, people are pitching in cash, medicines rice, and other essential food items in large scales to help the flood victims. Kerala CM, Pinarayi Vijayan also took to his Twitter handle and urged people to celebrate Onam by helping those people who are suffering due to the floods.
