The Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) sent 75 skilled workers to Kerala on Friday to help flood-affected people there. The massive flood in Kerala has devastated the entire State affecting more than 10 lakh people. The ravages require efforts to restore the damages caused by the floods.

The team includes electricians, plumbers, welders, carpenters and snake charmers who would stay there for one month and provide support of rehabilitation and restoration in Ernakulam, Alappuzha, Thrissur and Kottayam districts.

KIIT and KISS founder Achyuta Samanta appreciated the team’s enthusiasm towards their service to the distressed people. Two days back, the KIMS sent a 25-member medical team to Kerala to render health services to the flood-hit.
