The State government has launched a website that will enable sportspersons to get details about sports hostel facilities and sports ranking, among other things, on a real-time basis.
Sports and Youth Development Minister P. Balakrishna Reddy, released a pamphlet detailing the features of the website, which was received by sports secretary Dheeraj Kumar. Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT) member secretary Reeta Harish Thakkar was present.
The website provides a slew of features to sportspersons, including membership for swimming pools, details of hostel facilities and application forms.
Sportspersons can also use the portal to apply for various sports meets across the State and receive details of the selected candidates through SMS and email. The website was developed at a cost of ₹41.6 lakh, in coordination with the National Informatics Centre.
