Paralakhemundi locals decry rly panel’s apathy

Though a team led by Senior Railway Engineer KVV Narasinghalu visited the Paralakhemundi to take stock of various problems faced in the Nuapada-Paralakhemundi-Gunpur railway junction and take necessary steps for the railway development in this tribal area, yet the team members did not let the common people meet them.

The apathetic attitude of the railway officials has spread strong resentment among the masses.

More than 100 from various walks of life, starting from senior citizens, mediapersons, farmers and people from various fields were waiting from hours to meet Narasinghalu and his staff, but instead of meeting the people, they did not even get down from the rail coach.

Notably, the public was waiting to meet the officers with a written memorandum regarding various problems faced in the Paralakhemundi  railway station but the team’s stubborn attitude left them disappointed.

They strongly condemned the attitude of Narasinghalu and said that he really did not have any genuine concern towards the development of Odisha, especially the tribal district. The locals demanded action against the team for its recklessness.
