Ujjain: Youth Congress organises protest against Rafale deal


Ujjain: City Congress organised a protest at Dewas gate square on Friday to highlight alleged corruption in Rafale fighter plane deal. Youth Congress president Amit Sharma and district rural Youth Congress president Karan Morwal led the protest in which hundreds of party members took part.

Sharma informed that the rally began from Madhav College and hundreds of members raised slogans against the incumbent government. At Dewas gate square party members burned the posters of ‘Rafale deal – ek prem katha’.

He said that Union government wasted thousands of crores in this deal. Congress president Rahul Gandhi had raised the issue in Parliament also but the prime minister had not given any satisfactory answer and even the details of the deal have not been made public.


During the protest members raised several other issues like corruption in banking system and fugitives like Nirav Modi, Vijay Mallya and Mehul Choksi who were able to flee the country so easily. State Youth Congress secretary Bablu Khichhi, Rahim Lala, Sanjay Nandera, Pratik Jain, Rahul Rathore and several other party members participated in the protest.
