On cam: Ganga flowing near danger mark after heavy rains in Rishikesh

The water level of Ganga river continued to rise in Rishikesh after heavy rains in Uttarakhand. The river is flowing near danger mark at several places in Uttarakhand and the district administration has sounded an alert for the people living near the banks of Ganga. Water of the Ganga river may enter low-lying areas, if the heavy rains continue in the state. Incessant rains have also resulted in loss of property worth crores and displaced lakhs of people in the states of Kerala and Karnataka.
