JSpur BMJD units’ chiefs appointed

The presidents of the Biju Mahila Janata Dal [BMJD] units of Jagatsinghpur municipality, block and Naugaon were appointed after approval of State BMJD chief Pramila Mallick.

Informing mediapersons, Jagatsinghpur block Chairperson Bijayalaxmi Behera and BMJD State secretary Minati Das said that Kiranabala Sasmal was appointed as BMJD Jagatsinghpur block president, Samima Begum as Jagatsinghpur municipality BMJD president and Rita Mohanty as Naugaon block BMJD head.

Mallick declared the name of new appointees after approval of the BJD higher ups.

Meanwhile, a controversy surfaced that though a month back BMJD district president MLA Dr Rajashree Mallick had disclosed names of appointees of BMJD units, the fresh declaration has scraped the old names.

BMJD secretary Minati Das said earlier the appointees declared by Mallick have no participation in Jagatsinghpur BJD activities.

BMJD president Mallick after a careful review cancelled their appointments, Das said. However, MLA Mallick informed that the previously appointed BMJD presidents for Jagatsinghpur block, municipality and Naugaon units have been made vice presidents.
