Sahil plays role of Gandhi’s brother in film on Kasturbaa

The desire to work hard and the passion leads an artist to reach his destination, said theatre and film actor Sahil Mishra.

Sahil will be seen essaying a pivotal role in the movie ‘Humari Baa KasturBaa’. He will be seen as the elder brother of Mahata Gandhi Laxmidas Mota Bhai. Interestingly, this is the country's first film being made on Kasturba Bai.

This movie is directed by Sachin Kaushik and Manish Thakur. Based on the biographical drama written by RK Paliwal the film is a biographical presentation of Kasturba Bai’s life. The film's producer is Eternal Motion Pictures.

Besides, apart from Bhopal theatre artists, actors from Delhi, Mumbai are also there in the film. The NSD alumni Preeti Tiwari will be essaying the role of Kasturba. The film will be premiered on October 2.

Sahil tells that it was fun to work in the movie and he got to learn a lot. Sahil began acting in theatre from the age of 7 and then there was no looking back.

He was seen in Prakash Jha Productions ‘Satyagrah’ for the first time. Then he worked in Love Shagun, Fad Sai and more to add to list.

Sahil also played a grey shade role as well. He also worked in Bhojpuri films as well. “The entire journey remained like a roller coaster ride. I am enjoying this journey thoroughly,” shared Sahil. He further said that the there are more projects in the pipeline among which one is a Telugu movie.
