
Asian Games 2018: India's Tajinderpal Singh Toor wins gold in Men's shot put, sets new Asiad record
Tajinderpal Singh Toor of India won gold in the Men's shot put event at Jakarta and has broken the Asian Games record with a 20.75 mark on his fifth attempt, the Punjab born athlete won India its 7th gold in the 18th edition of the Asian Games.
The 23-year old athlete had the highest mark on the very first attempt and broke the Asian Games 2018 record in his fifth attempt.
It was China's Liu Yang who won the silver and Kazakhstan's Ivan Ivanov settled for bronze.
Earlier, on Day 7, Squash players Dipika Pallikal, Joshna Chinappa and Saurav Ghosal won bronze in the Women's and Men's singles semifinals event respectively.
