Floral tributes paid to ‘Asthi kalash’ procession of Vajpayee

People paid floral tributes to ‘Asthi kalash’ procession of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna late Atal Bihari Vajpyaee that was taken out across Jabalpur on Friday.

After the last rites of Vajpayee it was decided to immerse his last remains in major rivers of the country and in Madhya Pradesh ‘Asthi kalash’ procession for immersion in 10 rivers started from BJP Bhopal office and for immersion in Ken River in Panna.

The procession reached Jabalpur late in night via Raisen and Narsinghpur. State Minister Surendra Patwa and former Mayor Sadanand Godbole reached with ‘Asthi kalash’ at Jabalpur circuit house.

At around 10.30 an procession started from circuit house no 1 where senior leader and former MP Jayshree Banerjee and senior leader Bhagwatidhar Vajpayee paid floral tributes.

Later, the procession took path Empire talkies, Penty Naka, Ganesh Chowk Sadar, Katanga Tiraha, Gorakhpur, Choti Line Phatak, Shastri Bridge, Bloom Chowk, Teen Patti, Malviya Chowk, Bada Fuhara, Miloniganj, Ghora Nakkas, Hanumantaal, Khermai, Bhantalaiya, Bahorbaag, Raddi Chowk, Birsamunda Chowk, Panagar and Sehora.

Procession witnessed several party bearers, party workers, different NGO, educational institutes, trader organizations and several different religious and social organizations. 

State Minister Surednra Patwa said that the procession would move to Katni and later reach Panna district to immerse last remains in sacred river Ken.

He said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee is no more with us but his shown path and objectives would guide for future. The pledge of taking country forward would be kept and whole BJP would achieve it which will be true tribute to Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
