Man dies after falling from ute in southern Queensland

A man has died after falling from a ute, which he is believed to have been driving at the time, in southern Queensland on Friday.

Emergency services were called to Narine Road in Dirranbandi, about 470 kilometres south-west of Toowoomba, about 7.30pm after reports a man had fallen from the vehicle onto the road.

When paramedics reached the remote location, they declared the 24-year-old man dead.

The Forensic Crash Unit was investigating, with officers piecing together statements from the three male passengers in the ute — aged 25, 19 and 18.
