GURUGRAM: A 25-year-old private security guard has been arrested for allegedly threatening a woman to withdraw an assault case against him, after forcibly entering her house in Garden Estate housing society in DLF 3.

Police said Ravi Sahu was arrested and lodged in jail for thrashing the same woman and her son in October last year. Now after coming out of jail on bail, he allegedly threatened the 37-year-old woman to take her case back. The accused was produced in a city court on Saturday and sent to judicial custody.

According to the woman, Sahu, originally from West Bengal, forcibly entered into her house on July 10. She filed a complaint on the same day and another complaint on August 8, following which an FIR was registered against the guard on Friday.

“Last October, Sahu thrashed me and my son only after my child stopped him from beating a street dog in our locality. Following my complaint, an FIR was registered against him at the time, and he was arrested and sent to jail. He recently came out on bail and on July 10, he and his wife came to our home and forcibly entered my house, threatening to kill me and my family if I don’t take back my case against him,” she said in her complaint.

“We arrested the accused on Friday night and produced him in a city court on Saturday, which sent him to judicial custody,” said SHO Babu Lal of DLF 3 police station.
