Four injured in clashes in UP's Shamli district

Four people were seriously injured in a clash between two groups at Pirkheda village in district, police said today.

They suffered and are being treated at a hospital. The incident took place last night in the station limits, of Police Shalok Kumar said.

Security has been tightened in the village after incident.

In another incident here, police have arrested eight people for allegedly attacking a family in Purbalyan village.

Police have registered a case against50 people and named 25 in connection with the incident that took place last night, of Police, City, Ombir Singh said.

Some people were injured in the attack. The situation is under control and security has been tightened in the village, he said.
