District Basketball: Dastur girls clinch Under-14 title

Pune: Sardar Dastur girls defeated DAV Public School, Aundh 27-17 to clinch the Under-14 girls title of the District Level basketball tournament being played at Deccan Gymkhana basketball courts on Friday.

The score at half time was 14-11 in favour of the Dastur girls. Bhumika Sarje (14) and Vanshika Gothi (10) scored for Sardar Dastur girls. For DAv, Meenakshi Nirmalkar scored 6 points while Lubha Chordiya scored 4 points.   
  
In the pre-quarterfinal action of the Under-17 boys category, Dr Shamrao Kalmadi School beat Bishop’s School, Camp 18-2 to enter the next round. Ojas Ambekar (5) and Yash Pathriya (3) got on the scoreline for Dr Shamrao Kalmadi School.
