BSNL launches 'Rakhi' unlimited data plan at Rs 399 with 74 days validity

State-owned telecom operator BSNL has launched its 'Rakhi offer' with an unlimited voice, data and SMS plan at Rs 399 with validity of 74 days. Unlike other BSNL plans, the new 'Rakhi' unlimited is valid across New Delhi and Mumbai telecom circles as well. In addition it has a facility of Personalized Ring Back Tone (PRBT) with unlimited song change option. The plan is called STV399, it will be available starting August 26 -- the day of Rakhi. The free unlimited calling benefit applies to all local, STD and roaming calls.
BSNL had recently launched its ‘Freedom Pack’ to mark the occasion of 72nd Independence Day. Under the new plan, BSNL has launched two packs at Rs 9 and Rs 29 respectively. Both the plan offers unlimited calling and 3G mobile data.
The Rs 9 'Freedom Pack' offers 2GB unlimited data along with unlimited local, STD and roaming voice calls and 100 free SMS. The speed will drop to 80 kbps after the 3GB FUP limit is reached. The Rs 9 has a validity of one day only. Note that the offer and free voice calls benefit is not applicable in New Delhi and Mumbai.
As far as the latest broadband plans are concerned, BSNL has announced a new plan for its users in Kerala, Named Fibro BBG ULD 995, offers 2Mbps FUP speed. This plan comes with 200GB limited data at a speed of 20Mbps for Rs 995.
The plan is said to be valid for 90 days as it a promotional plan. A TelecomTalk report says that the plan includes free custom email ID with 1GB of storage. Users can avail the plan for one year at Rs 10,945, two years at Rs 20,898 and for three years at Rs 29,850, says the report. In order to get this plan, users will have to pay one-time activation fee of Rs 500 and and a minimum hire period of one month is also applicable, but only for every new user.
