United Continental Holdings Inc. UAL, +0.47% plans to transfer its stock exchange listing to the Nasdaq Global Select Market from The New York Stock Exchange, the parent company of United Airlines said Friday. UAL's stock will begin trading on the Nasdaq market on Sept. 7 and continue to trade under the ticker UAL. The move to Nasdaq was in part motivated by the company's effort to meet its cost targets, said Chief Executive Gerry Laderman in a statement. United Continental's stock rose 0.5% to close at $85.14 and is up 26% so far in 2018.
