Federal judge Robert Workman Sweet (95) is setting the bar high for senior citizens of New York with his ice dancing skills, and he makes it look super easy!

According to Herald Sun Robert visits New York’s Chelsea Piers sport and entertainment complex twice a week for lessons.

He’s been ice dancing for 20 years with his coach, Ukrainian-born Samvel Gezalian (48), a two-time former Olympian ice dancer.

Ice dancing is a form of choreographed figure skating influenced by ballroom dancing and is typically performed by a man and a woman competing as a team.

Robert is a senior United States district judge in New York and has worked on many high profile cases including the sexual harassment suit against former film producer Harvey Weinstein.

His coach – who was reluctant to work with him at first – is now singing his praises.

“Russians don’t like judges, but he’s become my friend. I think it’s incredible at ice dancing”, the Mercury reported.

“You have to keep learning new things all the time to progress, which obviously keeps the mind working” Robert said.
