Two minor siblings claimed that they were repeatedly raped by their 62-year-old father for the past one year at their house at Shamshabad, police said.
The incident came to light recently when one of the victims approached the police to lodge a complaint. Based on it, a rape case has been registered against the accused, Rajabahadur, a watchman and a native of Nepal, said RGIA Inspector M. Mahesh.
“Rajabahadur sexually assaulted his 15-year-old and 17-year-old daughters repeatedly for the past one year and his elder daughter approached us a week ago and narrated the incident,” the police said.
The accused was arrested by the police on Wednesday and was sent to judicial remand.
Sexual assault
On July 30, a 40-year-old daily-wage earner sexually assaulted his 10-year-old daughter at their home at Zeba Bagh in Asifnagar. The incident came to light only on July 17, when the victim’s mother approached Asif Nagar police to register a case, after searching for the accused at their native place in Bidar of Karnataka for more than a week.
The accused was nabbed on Wednesday and was sent to judicial remand, the Asif Nagar police said.
