Realme 2 to be Flipkart exclusive, confirms company

Oppo's sub-brand Realme is soon going to launch its second smartphone in the country -- Realme 2 -- on August 28.
Just a couple of days ahead of the launch, the company has confirmed that their upcoming smartphone will be exclusively available on e-commerce portal Flipkart.
The company said in a statement, "Realme announced its strategic association with the Indian e-commerce player Flipkart, to exclusively launch their second model - Realme 2. The budget-friendly smartphone will be launched in India on August 28, 2018 and is expected to offer the first notch screen under a price budget of INR 10K in India."
The previously posted teasers of the Realme 2 have confirmed that the device will be available in three colour variants -- Diamond Red, Black and Blue -- along with a presence of an iPhone X-like notch on the front. The battery capacity of the device has also been confirmed to be 4230mAh.
The Realme 2 handset has also been confirmed to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. This was confirmed by Qualcomm India's official Twitter handle, although they didn't mention which chipset will power the device.
Realme 1 specifications, price
Oppo introduced its sub-brand back in May with the launch of Realme 1 handset. The Realme 1 smartphone comes at a starting price of Rs 8,990. The company has priced the 3GB RAM and 6GB RAM version at Rs 8,990 and Rs 13,990 respectively. There will be another variant of 4GB+64GB that will be priced at Rs 10,990.
In terms of specs, the Realme 1 sports a 6-inch full HD+ screen 2160X1080p resolution with 84.75% screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by MediaTek's 12nm octa-core Helio P60 processor and is backed by a 3410mAh battery with AI support that is said to help the device’s performances by analysing the users' usage pattern.
In terms of camera, it has a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front facing camera. The cameras are capable of supporting AR stickers within the app and offer Bokeh and Vivid mode. It comes equipped with Oppo's AI Beauty 2.0 Technology, which is said to recognize 296 facial spots in the users' face to enhance selfies.
