In a sensational incident reported from Budaun, a minor girl ended her life in her house in Musajhag area on Thursday morning, after being gang-raped by three men two days back.

The 15-year-old victim was abducted by the accused last Monday and was taken to a secluded building where she was sexually assaulted.

"Post-mortem examination will be conducted by a panel of three doctors to ascertain if it was a case of suicide. We will look into the matter from all angles," Budaun district police chief Ashok Kumar said.

The Senior Superintendent of Police said that an FIR had already been registered on the complaint of the victim's family and the prime accused, identified as Lavkush, had been arrested.

The SSP had, however, refuted the rape allegation by the girl, saying that her medical examination did not confirm that she was gang-raped. The SSP had also said that the girl and the accused were acquaintances and had spoken 122 times on phone in the last couple of days.

On the other hand, the girl's family alleged that they were being pressured by the accused to compromise and withdraw the case.

"The families of the accused warned us to withdraw the case or face dire consequences," the victim's brother said.

Reacting to the allegation, the SSP said that stern action would be taken if a complaint was received in this regard.

Meanwhile, in Shahjahanpur, another minor girl was kidnapped and raped several times by two men in Makrandpur village in Khudaganj police station area.

As per the police, the class 8 student, aged about 13 years, was on her way to school on August 14 when Ajay and Kamlesh kidnapped her and later raped her several times.

"The girl somehow managed to escape on the night of August 21 and reached her home," SP (Rural) Subhash Chandra Shakya said on Thursday.

He claimed that based on a complaint filed by the victim's mother, an FIR was registered against the accused and the girl was sent for medical examination. He said that efforts were on to nab the accused.
