The Election Commission will hear the AAP MLA’s office of profit case today. The plea to disqualify 20 AAP MLAs for allegedly holding office of profit was adjourned on August 20 as an order of the Delhi High Court on the lawmaker’s request to cross examine the petitioner and state government officials was not out then.

Punjab Assembly’s monsoon session will begin today. The three-day session was decided by the state cabinet after Justice Singh handed over his final report to the Chief Minister Capt Amarinder on the sacrilege case. A commission was set up in 2017 to investigate the incidents of sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib and other religious texts.

Congress president Rahul Gandhi will reach London today who is on a four-day visit to Germany and England. During his visit, Gandhi will hold meetings with Indian Journalist Associations, NRIs, students and academicians. He is also likely to meet British PM Theresa May during his trip.

Drug retailers in Ahmedabad are likely to protest condemning the increasing online pharmacies. The pharmacists are also demanding refund of GST for expired or leaked drugs. The Drugists Association threatened that a nation-wide strike to press their demands will be held next month.
