Manhattan D.A. may charge Trump Organization over hush money: report

The Trump Organization may face criminal charges in connection with Michael Cohen's payments of hush money, the New York Times reported late Thursday. The Manhattan district attorney's office is reportedly considering charges against two senior officials at the Trump family charity, over how it reimbursed Cohen for his 2016 payoff to adult-film actress Stormy Daniels, who claimed she had an affair with Donald Trump. The organization reported the reimbursement as a legal expense, the Times said, but prosecutors claim Cohen did no legal work on the case. That could be a felony under New York state law. The president has no power to pardon those convicted of state crimes.
