Top cueists from across the country will take part in the Madras Cricket Club6 Red Snooker tournament to be held here from August 27 to September 2.
The tournament will see 48 leading players take part, a press release said.
Among the top players in the fray are India's no.2 Kamal Chawla, the IBSS World silver medallist, Sourav Kothari and Akshay Kumar, the country's no.3 and 4 respectively in 6- Red, Brijesh Damani, Manan Chandra and Faisal Khanare.
The local challenge would be led by talented youngster S Shrikrishna, Varun Kumar, Pranit Ramachandran, Rafath Habib and S A Saleem among others.
The total prize money on offer is Rs 1.6 lakh.
