Leading experts to attend TEDx Talk Show

Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Gwalior has lined up some of the leading luminaries from diverse fields for a TEDx Talk Show to be held at the college campus on August 25.

Among the speakers will be Joyita Mondal, a transgender who was appointed as a Lok Adalat judge in north Bengal. The 29-year-old was once made homeless and forced to turn to begging because of the discrimination she faced. She is slated to share her experience with students of how she got inspired and completed a law degree to become the first transgender judge in India.

Another speaker is Bani Yadav, India’s noted racing champion who reached high levels of glory with sheer guts and belief in her passion despite the numerous obstacles she had to face.

The other speakers include Sandeep Jain, the Founder CEO of Geegksforgeeks; Amandeep Singh, a Software Engineer; Oydrolla Ghosh, the renowned fashion designer and Pushkar Vohra, the co- founder of Black Slab. Speaking to the media persons SG Deshmukh, the Director of IIITM said that the purpose of the Talk Show is to motivate students through inspirational talks and real stories emerging from the actual experiences of the speakers. He added that the speakers are expected to cover their own stories in the areas of career, business, successes and failures.

According to sources in the IIITM, there will be 100 seats for the audience out of which 30 will be for the students of IIITM and the rest for students from other colleges. The seats will be in three categories, viz: golden, silver and bronze. The sources added that those who wish to participate in the Talk Show are required to register before the August 23. The Talk Show will begin at 11 am and continue till 4 pm with two sessions. There will also be a question answer session in which the guest speakers will answer questions from the audience.
