Mumbai autorickshaw driver booked for masturbating in front of woman passenger

An autorickshaw driver has been booked for masturbating in front of a woman on Wednesday night in Borivli. The accused is absconding.

The woman, a journalist with an online portal, shared her ordeal on social media and urged police to take quick action.

In her post, the woman said that around 11.30 pm, she took a rickshaw from Infiniti Mall, Malad, to Borivli and during the ride she noticed the driver touching his private parts.. At first, she thought he had some problem, but as the act continued, she realised that he was masturbating.

The woman wanted to stop the rickshaw, but was scared as the lane was empty. She then waited as her home was just two minutes away. However, to her horror, the man parked the rickshaw, pulled his pants down and masturbated in front of her.

The woman, who was on call jumped out and asked her friend to note down the registration number.

She lodged a police complaint on Thursday . DCP Zone 11 Sangramsinh Nishandar confirmed that an FIR was registered at Borivli police station and hunt is on for accused.
