The Naya Raipur Development Authority (NRDA) has started implementing Phase-II of Christel House School project at Sector-25 in the new capital city, officials informed.

Notably, Chief Minister Raman Singh on February 10, 2017  inaugurated the newly constructed Christel House School building at Sector 25 here.

During the month of March in 2014, in what could be termed as an endorsement for the agenda to provide quality education to the poor, the NRDA had signed an agreement with Christel House, an International charity with a proven track record in breaking the cycle of poverty through educating children.

As a part of the agreement, NRDA decided to provide land and infrastructure for a Christel House school in Naya Raipur. The Christel House is applying its experience and resources in a variety of disciplines including teaching, community outreach, finance, administration and so on to educate impoverished children in the State.

The NRDA has entrusted them the task of providing good quality streamlined education and holistic development of the poor children.

Christel House was set up in Bangalore in 2001 by entrepreneur turned philanthropist, Christel DeHaan from the USA. The objective of Christel House is to provide education, nutrition and healthcare to children from the poorest of the poor sections of society and make them economically independent and contributing members.
